Beliefs
Amber believes we can make dramatic results in the first visit!
We operate under the philosophy that dogs are pack animals and are the most fulfilled and secure when they have a strong leader to look to. We strive to make you, the owner, a strong harmonious pack leader with the proper skills, tools, and education. As humans & dog owners, it is our responsibility to protect our dogs not only from physical dangers, but from mental stresses and anxieties. A lot of us have little time during the day to work and train with our dogs, so we find ourselves flustered and lost. Under the philosophies of Pack to Balance, we take that into account and completely understand! We make it easy to juggle these things, and still have a well balanced family pet. We make things simple, understandab, and easy for owners to grasp.

Training System
As stated, Pack to Balance is known for using a balanced training system.
What does this mean?
This means our training isn't limited to a predefined set of rules.
It means that we use all tools available to us. It's a system of pressure on and pressure off.
With this type of real world training, we are able to reward the things we like in our dogs without bribes, and correct the behaviors that are undesired and potentially dangerous. We communicate on a instinctual level that your dog naturally knows from birth. This involves energy, body language, sound, physical touch, and leash and spacial pressure.
Things all animals universally understand.
We believe in not working against mother nature, and that who you are to your dog is key.

Tools

Prong Collars: We are proud users of Herm Sprenger prong collars. We have immediate lasting results with these tools, and find them to be vital on almost every dog regardless of temperament we work with for effective communicating and leash work. The prong collar works on the concept that evenly applied universal pressure is gentler and more effective on a dog's neck than the quick jerk and impact of a choke chain or the steady, relentless pressure of a flat collar. The collar is designed to distribute pressure against the neck evenly, and not cause choking, pinching or injury. The sensation imitates the mouth of a mother on a puppy and accesses a dog’s attention in a clear and immediate way allowing you to have consistent communication. Owners will be taught how to size, fit, and use these tools efficiently both as a walking tool, but as a training tool.

Remote Collars: We are proud users of the Dogtra or Einstein Electronic Remote Collars. We have specialize in the technique of low level remote work. After your dog has been properly introduced and worked with on our prong collars, the transition over to these lovely tools is astounding. Remote collar training, when used properly, is one of the most rewarding ways to work with your dog. It is the ultimate freedom, imagine hiking, the beach, a open field! The opportunities are great. Once used properly the collar will no longer need to be used, but will only be needed for the insurance of keeping your dog safe.

Pet Convincer: The pet convincer is a strong burst of harmless chemical free air. Sort of like what you would use to clean out your keyboard. This is used to interrupt a behavior and de-escalate the dog back to a point where we can continue to communicate with them.

Positive Reinforcement: We use petting and voice markers, in a soothing way that does not over excite your dog. We strive to create a balance between 'yes' and 'no' with positive reinforcement. Though are known for not using high pitched voices, treats, or incessant petting or bribery to reward our dogs. The reason for this, is that our goal is to create a calm family pet.
Not a hyper, salivating dog who's twitching and ready to pop up for that food morsel!
Many clients complain about this, and this to us, this seems very counter productive. A dogs best reward is being with his pack. Locking a dog away in a crate or taking them from the room and putting him in time out is something a dog can not understand or grasp. This is very confusing and can sometimes even be punishing.
To have a dog be included with you at all times everywhere, is his greatest reward, and for you to have the freedom to disagree and agree the things you deem unacceptable or acceptable is the key!

Dogs are not one size fits all.
Some tools will be brought in or modified to work the best with your dog.
